Latar belakang dan tujuan: Yayasan Santo Antonius (YASANTO) yang berdiri pada 6 Desember 1979 ini didirikan atas motivasi untuk membantu masyarakat akar rumput (grass root) dengan pelayanan hati nurani. Berdasarkan atas motivasi ini pula, YASANTO menetapkan tujuan organisasinya untuk melayani dan membina manusia seutuhnya sesuai dengan falsafah Pancasila dan UUD 1945 serta ajaran kitab suci, melalui kegiatan pelayanan sosial, pendidikan yang seluas-luasnya, pelayanan bidang mental spritual dan sosial ekonomi, kesemuanya dalam rangka pengabdiannya kepada masyarakat, gereja, bangsa dan negara. Bidang dan bentuk kegiatan: Bidang kegiatan utama lembaga ini adalah pertanian dan peternakan, kesehatan, usaha kecil dan perkoperasian, lingkungan hidup serta pendidikan. Sedangkan bentuk-bentuk kegiatannya antara lain pendidikan dan pelatihan, pengembangan dan pendampingan masyarakat, serta advokasi. Program: Berbagai program yang telah dilakukan, baik yang mandiri maupun kerjasama dengan pihak lain, antara lain: bantuan kepada penduduk yang mengalami kekeringan, program pencegahan HIV/AIDS dan sejumlah pelatihan. Sumber dana: Selain berasal dari iuran atau sumbangan anggota, juga mendapat bantuan dari berbagai lembaga di luar yayasan, antara lain AusAID, Misereor, PATH, Ford Foundation dan NMCP. Keanggotaan dan wilayah kerja: Lembaga ini tergabung dalam dua organisasi dalam tingkat regional, yakni Forum Kerjasama LSM Papua dan Jaringan Kesehatan Perempuan Indonesia Timur (JKPIT). Wilayah kerjanya meliputi seluruh Papua, khususnya Jayapura. Staf: Lembaga ini mempunyai 51 orang staf/karyawan; yang berstatus staf tetap sebanyak 49 orang dan 2 orang tidak tetap. Berdasarkan fungsinya, 13 orang di antaranya merupakan staf administrasi. | | Background and purpose: Founded on December 6, 1979 this foundation was motivated to help the grass root community with wholeheartedly services. Based on this motivation, the purpose of this foundation is to provide services and to empower the people to become perfect human beings in line with the principles of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitutions well as with the religious teachings through social services activities, wide-ranging education, mental, spiritual and social and economic services, all of it is in the framework of the dedication to the community, church, and the nation and state. Area and form of activities: In their daily activities this foundation has done various activities. Its principal activities are agriculture and breeding cattle, health, small business and cooperative, environment and education. The forms of those activities are, among others, education and training, community development and assistance as well as advocacy. Program: Since it was founded, this foundation has carried out many programs, both their own program as well as the programs cooperating with other parties. They are, among others, helping the people who were suffered from drought, HIV/AIDS prevention program and a number of training. Funding sources: This foundation is funded besides by the membership fee or donations from the members they also receive financial help from various institutions. The institutions which have cooperated with this foundation are, among others, AusAID, Missereor, PATH, Ford Foundation and NMCP. Membership and working area: This foundation joins two organizations at regional level, namely Papuan NGOs Coordination Forum and East Indonesia Women Health Network. Its operation area covers all Papua, mostly Jayapura. Staf: The number of the workers in this foundation is 51 people. From that number 49 are full-time staffs and 2 part-time ones. Based on their function 13 of them are administrative staffs. |
