Latar belakang dan tujuan: Anak jalanan perempuan adalah fenomena tersendiri di kota Yogyakarta. Selama ini yang baru didampingi adalah anak jalanan laki-laki. Padahal anak jalanan perempuan mempunyai problema tersendiri yaitu, rentannya kesehatan reproduksi, rentan terhadap kekerasan berbasis gender, dan tidak terpenuhinya hak-hak sebagai anak. Oleh karena itu, lembaga yang berdiri pada 24 Oktober 1998 ini mencoba memperjuangkan hak-hak anak menyangkut kelangsungan hidup, tumbuh kembang dan mendapatkan perlindungan dan berpartisipasi agar mampu mandiri secara sosial, ekonomi, maupun psikologis. Tujuan lainnya adalah melindungi anak jalanan perempuan dari kekerasan berbasis gender. Sumber dana: Sumber dana lembaga ini terutama diperoleh dari iuran dan sumbangan anggota serta bantuan hibah dari lembaga-lembaga internasional. Yanti Foundation pernah membantu lembaga ini, khususnya dalam kegiatan operasional dan administrasi. Keanggotaan dan wilayah kerja: Lembaga ini tercatat sebagai anggota Koalisi Perempuan Indonesia. Sedangkan wilayah kerjanya meliputi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Staf: Lembaga ini memiliki 3 pengurus harian, 6 staf proyek |
Background and purpose: Female street children are typical phenomenon in the city of Yogyakarta. So far, facilitation has been provided only for male street children. Actually, female street children have their own problems namely the susceptibility of their reproduction health, their being susceptible to violences which smack of gender prejudices, and the inability to fulfill the rights of children. Accordingly, YIN, founded on 24 October 1998, endeavors to struggle for the rights of children namely their rights to surviving, growing and getting protection, and also their rights to participate in the life of the society which enable them to become self-reliant socially, economically and psychologically. Another aim is protect female street children from gender-based violences.
Area and form of activities: YIN’s main field of activity is children, which is supported by other fields like healthcare, gender, and human rights. In order to put them into reality, the fields of activity are carried out in the forms of community development and facilitation, study, research, survey, education and training, advocacy, seminar, discussion and workshop.
Funding sources: The foundation’s revenues are mainly come from its membership dues and donations, and also from the grants provided by international funding agencies.
Membership and working area: YIN is a member of Indonesian Women Coalition, and it operates in areas in Yogyakarta Special Territory.
Staff: YIN presently has 3 staff members responsible for its day-to-day operation, and 6 project staff members.
