Latar belakang dan tujuan: Berdirinya lembaga ini pada 23 Desember 1957 ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya keprihatinan beberapa tokoh masyarakat, antara lain dokter ahli kandungan dan bidan terhadap keselamatan ibu dan anak. Tujuannya adalah mewujudkan keluarga yang bertanggung jawab dalam dimensi kelahiran, pendidikan, kesehatan, kesejahteraan, dan masa depan. Program: Lembaga ini telah melakukan berbagai kegiatan terutama yang berkaitan dengan masalah reproduksi. Publikasi: Telah menerbitkan buku Kekerasan Seksual pada Anak. Sumber dana: Selain iuran dan sumbangan, lembaga ini memperoleh bantuan dari IPPF, Bank Dunia, JOICEF, dan Pathfinder. Keanggotaan dan wilayah kerja: Lembaga ini merupakan anggota PKBI tingkat nasional, Forum Komunikasi Pengembangan Kesehatan Masyarakat Indonesia, dan International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). Background and purpose: The establishment of PKBI DKI Jakarta on 23 December 1957 was due to the concerns of a number of societal leaders, including uterus medical doctors and midwives, about the safety of mothers and children. The purpose of PKBI is create responsible families judging from the aspects of childbirth, children’s education, healthcare, welfare and future.
Area and form of activities: PKBI’s main fields of activity are healthcare, women in development, and population and family planning. Meanwhile, other fields like clean water and sanitation, gender, human rights, and children support them. Activities in these fields take the forms of education and training, community development and facilitation, reproduction health services, research, survey, advocacy and seminar.
Program: The organization published a book, Kekerasan Seksual pada Anak (Sexual Violence against Children).
Publication: PKBI DKI Jakarta publishes Kekerasan Seksual pada Anak.
Funding sources: Aside from the dues and contributions from its members, in financing its activities, PKBI DKI Jakarta uses assistance funds from IPPF, World Bank, JOICEF and Pathfinder.
Membership and working area: PKBI DKI Jakarta is a member of national PKBI, Communication Forum for the Health of the Indonesian Community, and International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). Information about its area of operation is not available.
