Latar belakang dan tujuan: Kondisi buruh yang sangat menderita karena cenderung dieksploitasi, memotivasi beberapa aktivis pada 23 November 1990 mendirikan yayasan. Tujuan utama yayasan ini adalah untuk memperjuangkan hak-hak buruh, khususnya buruh perempuan dan buruh anak.
Bidang dan bentuk kegiatan: Bidang kegiatan utama lembaga ini adalah pembelaan terhadap hak buruh perempuan dan anak, pengembangan demokrasi, hak asasi manusia, serta penyadaran tentang gender. Sementara itu bentuk-bentuk kegiatannya adalah pendidikan dan pelatihan, penelitian, survai, serta advokasi.
Program: Program yang pernah dilakukan di antaranya 1) Perlindungan dan pemberdayaan buruh anak; 2) Advokasi buruh perempuan .
Publikasi: Menerbitkan Buletin HAK
Sumber dana: Sumber dana lembaga ini terutama dari hibah lembaga internasional, seperti ILO dan TDH.
Keanggotan dan wilayah kerja:Tergabung dalam forum: KSB, WIM, Advokasi NGO. Ditingkat internasional berjaringan kerja dengan CWA .Wilayah kerja Kawasan Industri disekotar kota medan
Staf: Lembaga ini memiliki 6 orang staf tetap, 1 orang staf tidak tetap, ditambah 4 orang tenaga profesional dan 2 orang staf administrasi
| Background and purpose: The condition of the deeply suffering labor force due to exploitation, has motivated a number of activists on November 23rf, 1990, to establish the above foundation. The primary aim of the foundation is to fight for the rights of the laborers, in particular women laborers and child laborers. Area and form of activities: The main fields of activity of this institute is defense of the rights of women and child labor, development of democracy, human rights, and gender awareness. Meanwhile forms of the activities are education and training, research, survey, and advocacy. Program: Among the programs previously held is a program for empowerment of child labor. Publication: Publishing the HAK Bulletin. Funding sources: The sources of funds of this institute are mainly from grants of international organizations, such as ILO and TDH. Membership and working area: The institute enters into the regional network of WIM, KSB and Women Khai, and is a member of national organizations such as JKLPK, SBSI and IPECT Indonesia, and is also a member of a number of international organizations such as ILO, CWA, ECPACT, AFLO-CIO. Staff: Daily management of the foundation is cone by 6 permanent staff members, 2 non permanent staff member, with an added 4 professional workers and 2 administrative staff members. |
