Latar belakang dan tujuan: Hasil pembangunan harus dapat dinikmati oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat. Untuk itu, diperlukan wahana yang mampu menampung, memanfaatkan, serta mengembangkan potensi yang ada dalam masyarakat sambil menjunjung tinggi harkat dan martabat manusia Indonesia seutuhnya. Untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut, dibentuklah Yayasan Dinamika Inovasi Swadaya (YDIS). Yayasan yang dibentuk pada tanggal 23 Oktober 1987 ini bertujuan membangun manusia Indonesia seutuhnya dengan pendampingan, pembinaan dan mengembangkan prakarsa dan swadaya masyarakat ke arah yang adil makmur, merata, cerdas, terampil dan sejahtera lahir dan batin.
Bidang dan bentuk kegiatan: Bidang-bidang kegiatan utama lembaga ini adalah pertanian, kesehatan, wanita dalam pembangunan, gender, usaha kecil, lingkungan hidup, hak asasi manusia, demokrasi, peternakan, kependudukan dan KB, kajian agama. Sementara bidang seperti hukum, sektor informal, dan anak adalah kegiatan penunjang. Kegiatan-kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk kegiatan: studi, penelitian, survai, pengembangan/pendampingan masyarakat, seminar, perkreditan, dan advokasi.
Program: Beberapa program yang telah dilaksanakan antara lain: pelatihan teknis kader UPPKA, AMT, P3 komoditi hasil industri kecil, proyek kredit mikro, pemberdayaan peternak itik Alabio, pemberdayaan kelompok wanita pengrajin, magang staf/studi banding, TPKS, pelatihan pemilih, penanggulangan bencana, dan P3MR.
Sumber dana: Selain iuran dan sumbangan dari anggota, lembaga ini memperoleh sumber-sumber dana dari BKKBN, Dep. Perindustrian dan Perdagangan, Bank Indonesia, USAID, Canada Fund, BENEVOLENTIA, NCOS, OXFAM, dan FWP Jepang.
Keanggotaan dan wilayah kerja: Lembaga ini merupakan anggota Forum LSM Kalimantan Selatan, LKPP Kalimantan Selatan, TMI, PPK Kalimantan Selatan, Badan Musyawarah SBD VII, WALHI, Biogathering/Bioforum 95. Sedang wilayah kerjanya mencakup Amuntai, Tabalong, Kandangan, dan Tapin.
Staf: YDIS digerakkan oleh 5 staf tetap, 7 staf tidak tetap, 2 staf profesional, dan 2 staf administrasi.

Background and purpose: The fruit of development should be enjoyed by all the people in the society. On that account there must be a place to accommodate, to make use of as well as to develop the potentials in the society and at the same time upholding the dignity of the Indonesian people. In order to realize it, on October 23, 1987 this foundation was established and its purposes are to build a perfect Indonesian with the assistance, empowerment and development of initiatives toward a prosperous, fair, intelligent and skilled society.
Area and form of activities: The activities of this foundation are in the field of agriculture, health, women in development, gender, small businesses, environment, human rights, democracy, breeding cattle, population and family planning, religion studies. As its supporting activities are law, informal sector and children issue. Those activities are carried out in the form of studies, researches, surveys, community development and assistance, seminars, credit and advocacy.
Program: Technical training of UPPKA cadres, AMT, P3 small industry product commodity, micro credit project, empowerment of the Alabio duck farmers, empowerment of group of women artisan, staffs apprentices, comparative studies, voters training, handling disaster and P3MR are the programs the foundation has done so far.
Funding sources: Besides membership fee and donations, this foundations also receive financial help from BKKBN, Department of Trade and Industry, Bank of Indonesia, USAID, Canada Fund, BENEVOLENTIA, NCOS, OXFAM as well as FWP Japan.
Membership and working area: This foundation is a member of NGO Forum of South Kalimantan, LKPP South Kalimantan, TMI, PPK South Kalimantan, Consultative Assembly of SBD VII, WALHI, Biogathering/Bioforum 95. This foundation covers the areas of Amuntai, Tabalong, Kandangan and Tapin.
Staff: This foundation is organized by 5 full-time, 7 part-time staffs along with 2 professionals and 2 administrative staffs.
