Latar belakang dan tujuan: Awal pendirian lembaga ini berasal dari ide berbagai tokoh LSM Kalimantan Selatan yang peduli lingkungan. Setelah mendapat persetujuan dari WALHI pusat, secara resmi mereka mendeklarasikan WALHI Kalimantan Selatan pada tahun 1980. Maksud didirikannya lembaga ini adalah agar gerakan pelestarian lingkungan berjalan lebih efektif dan terkoordinasi. Program: Program yang pernah dilakukan lembaga ini antara lain advokasi tambang, sistem hutan kerakyatan, pemetaan dan konsultasi pemberdayaan masyarakat. Publikasi: Menerbitan buletin Halulung. Sumber dana: Untuk melaksanakan kegiatannya, dana lembaga ini bersumber dari lembaga dalam negeri non pemerintah seperti LP3ES, BE WALHI, KPSHK, JKPP dan dari lembaga internasional antara lain OXFAM. Keanggotaan dan wilayah kerja: Lembaga ini merupakan anggota dari Konsorsium LSM Kalimantan Selatan Pemantau Pemilu (KLPP), dan anggota KPSHK. Wilayah kerjanya meliputi Propinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Staf: Lembaga ini mempunyai 11 staf tetap, 3 staf tidak tetap, 6 staf profesional, dan 2 staf administrasi. |
Background and purpose: The establishment of this forum was the initiatives of various figures of the NGOs of South Kalimantan who are concerned about the environment. After having the approval of the national Indonesian Forum for Environment, they officially declared the Indonesian Forum for Environment of South Kalimantan in 1980. This foundation is meant to organize the environmental movements in a more effective and coordinative way.
Area and form of activities: This institution has various activities such as environment, gender, law, social forestry. These activities are conducted in the form of advocacy, education and training, community development and assistance, publications as well as seminars.
Program: They have done several programs such as advocacy on mining, social forestry, mapping and consultation on community empowerment.
Publication: They have published Halulung Bulletin.
Funding sources: This foundation receive financial help from various domestic non-governmental institutions such as LP3ES, BE, WALHI, KPSHK, JKPP and from international agencies such as OXFAM.
Membership and working area: This foundation is a member of the NGO Consortium for Electoral Monitoring of South Kalimantan and member of KPSHK. It covers the area in South Kalimantan province.
Staff: This foundation has 11 full-time staffs, 3 part-time staffs, 5 professionals and 2 administrative staffs.
