Latar belakang dan tujuan: PKBI Daerah Kalimantan Selatan merupakan salah satu dari sekian lembaga jaringan PKBI secara nasional. Latarbelakang berdirinya PKBI Kalimantan Selatan tidak lepas dari latarbelakang lahirnya PKBI. Adapun tujuan lembaga ini adalah untuk mewujudkan keluarga bertanggung jawab untuk mencapai keluarga sejahtera.
Bidang dan bentuk kegiatan : Bidang kegiatan utama lembaga ini antara lain kesehatan, gender, sektor informal, anak, kependudukan dan keluarga berencana, dan remaja. Kegiatan-kegiatan tersebut dilaksanakan melalui berbagai bentuk kegiatan seperti: pendidikan dan pelatihan, pengembangan/pendam­pingan masyarakat, penerbitan, advokasi, seminar, perkreditan, studi, penelitian, dan survai.
Program: Beberapa program yang telah dilakukan antara lain: pelatihan penundaan usia kawin bagi remaja, seminar HIV/AIDS, penyuluhan kesehatan Ibu dan Anak, pendidikan bagi Wanita Tuna Susila (WTS), penyaluran kontrasepsi mandiri, Youth Centre, sejumlah advokasi, dan peningkatan kualitas pelayanan keluarga berencana.
Publikasi: Lembaga ini pernah menerbitkan Buletin Realita.
Sumber dana: Selain dari sumbangan anggota, lembaga ini memperoleh dana dari Kanwil BKKBN, Kanwil Depkes, Depsos, IPPF, VTF, dan Pathfinder.
Keanggotaan dan wilayah kerja: Selain sebagai anggota PKBI secara nasional, lembaga ini merupakan anggota WALHI. Wilayah kerjanya meliputi Propinsi Kalimantan Selatan.
Staf: Lembaga ini mempunyai 2 staf tetap, 13 staf tidak tetap, dan 15 staf administrasi, dan didukung oleh para relawan.
Background and purpose: IPPA of South Kalimantan is one of so many national network of IPPA. The background of its establishment shared those of the national IPPA. This association is aimed at forming a responsible family in order to achieve a welfare family.
Area and form of activities: This association has several activities such as health, gender, informal sector, children issue, population and family planning as well as adolescent issue. Those activities are in the form of education and training, community development and assistance, publications, advocacy, seminars, credit, studies, researches as well as surveys.
Program: Since it was founded this association has launched various programs like training of delaying the age of marriage for the adolescents, seminar on HIV/AIDS, health counseling for mother and child, education for the sex workers, self-contraceptive methods, Youth Centre, a number of advocacy and improvement of the family planning service quality.
Publication: This association has published Realita Bulletin.
Funding sources: Beside the donation of its members, this institution receive financial aid from the Office of BKKBN, the Office of Health Department, the Office of Department of Social Affairs, IPPF, VTF and Pathfinder.
Membership and working area: Beside member of the national IPPA, this institution is also member of WALHI and as its working area is South Kalimantan.
Staff: IPPA South Kalimantan has 2 full-time staffs, 13 part-time staffs and 15 administrative staffs, and supported by volunteers.
